Hello, my name is Helen. I’m a trilingual CLC (certified lactation counselor) and the owner of Leaking Love LLC. My services are provided in English, Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL). Becoming a mom and feeding my son was one of hardest and most empowering things I’ve ever done. I knew very little about breastfeeding but I knew I wanted to try it out. Little did I know it would awaken my passion for lactation. In the first days of having a newborn I quickly realized how much of a challenge it was going to be. I had cracked and sore nipples and my son had lost more than the average weight after birth. I was advised by my pediatrician to supplement with formula.
It was very intense and overwhelming. There was very little support… and I wasn’t the only one struggling to find help. So many moms don’t have the resources or support they need to successfully breastfeed.
I am here to use the knowledge and experience that I have to support and empower new parents through this journey, whatever that may look like. My goal is to give parents confidence when feeding their baby but also caring for their mental health. Let’s work together to personalize a plan that best matches your goals and needs.
